How to Resolve Video & Microphone Issues on Live Calls in the Life Design Platform

If you are having trouble with your camera or microphone during a live session on the Life Design Platform, do not worry. Most issues are caused by device permissions, browser or app settings, or network connectivity.

Follow the steps below based on how you are joining the session.


💻 If You Are Using a Desktop or Laptop (Web Browser)

1. Check Camera & Microphone Permissions

Your browser must be allowed to access your camera and microphone before joining a live room.

How to check:

  1. Click the lock icon next to the website address in your browser.

  2. Find Camera and Microphone.

  3. Set both to Allow.

  4. Refresh the page and rejoin the live room.

If you do not see permission options, check your computer’s system settings:

  • Mac:
    System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and Microphone

  • Windows:
    Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and Microphone

Make sure your browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) is enabled.


2. Confirm the Correct Devices Are Selected

Inside the live room:

  1. Click the camera or microphone icon

  2. Open Device Settings

  3. Make sure the correct webcam and microphone are selected

If you use a headset or external webcam:

  • Unplug it

  • Plug it back in

  • Refresh the browser


3. Refresh and Restart

Try this in order:

  • Refresh the page

  • Leave the live room and rejoin

  • Close the browser and reopen it

  • Restart your computer

This clears most temporary hardware and permission issues.


4. Turn Off Browser Extensions

Ad blockers, privacy tools, and security extensions often block camera or mic access.

Disable extensions temporarily, refresh the page, and try again.


5. Update or Switch Browsers

Use one of these:

  • Chrome

  • Edge

  • Firefox

Avoid Safari if possible.

Make sure your browser is fully updated.


📱 If You Are Using the Life Design by ENTRE Mobile App

Live sessions run inside the Life Design by ENTRE app and require phone permissions.

1. Allow Camera & Microphone Access

If you denied access earlier, you must enable it in your phone settings.

iPhone

  1. Open Settings

  2. Scroll to Life Design by ENTRE

  3. Turn ON Camera and Microphone

Android

  1. Open Settings

  2. Apps → Life Design by ENTRE

  3. Permissions → Allow Camera and Microphone

Then fully close and reopen the Life Design by ENTRE app.


2. Close Other Apps Using Your Camera

Apps like Zoom, Instagram, FaceTime, or TikTok can block camera access.

Close them completely before joining the live room.


3. Restart the App or Phone

  • Close the Life Design by ENTRE app

  • Reopen it

  • If needed, restart your phone


4. Update the Life Design by ENTRE App

Open the App Store or Play Store and make sure Life Design by ENTRE is fully updated.

Older versions may not connect to live rooms correctly.


🌐 Check Your Internet Connection

Live video requires a stable connection.

  • Use Wi-Fi instead of cellular data when possible

  • Sit close to your router

  • Pause streaming or downloads on other devices


❗ Still Not Working?

Try one of these:

  • Switch from mobile to desktop or vice versa

  • Switch browsers

  • Join from another device

If you still cannot connect, contact support and include:

  • Your device type (iPhone, Windows, Mac, etc.)

  • Browser or app version

  • Any error messages or screenshots

Tip

The Life Design Platform uses Life Design by ENTRE’s built-in live video system. It runs inside your browser or mobile app and depends on your device granting camera and microphone permission before the live room can connect.

Once permissions are enabled, most issues resolve immediately.
